Taking a Flu day

Advent Calendar

Went to the coast today for my therapy session. The session went well but I didn’t do so well coming home. A headache that I thought was simply sinus turned into an after Thanksgiving Flu special.

Did make it home okay – though I called my sister Barb to come and get me for the last 30 miles. Luckily God had arranged for her to take a test today so she was not working in the afternoon and able to drive to the rescue.

Feel better now – but going back to bed. Nothing like being home, safe in one’s own little bed when one is under the weather.

Thanksgiving Walk with Llama

My brother Tim and Llama

Got back to Albany this afternoon. We had a great time. The drive over and back was interesting. We had four adults and three dogs and all sorts of bags, packages and assorted stuff packed in a very small Cube! Somehow we managed to be quite comfortable and arrive in one piece in good cheer.

I stayed with my sister Euli and family and then went over on Thanksgiving to my brother Tim on Whidbey Island. It has been 28 years since I have had Thanksgiving with family. Was really, really nice.

Before dinner we took a walk down to the shore with Tim’s llama. Was very fun. I made a little video of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG-YjzsrcZ4

Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful and blessed as well.

Can hardly believe that tomorrow is the First Sunday of Advent!

Happy Thanksgiving

This is going to be short. I’m hitting the road early tomorrow with my sister Barb and family. We are heading up to Seattle for Thanksgiving with family. It will be lots of fun.

The trip itself will be the start of it. Four adults and three dogs of various sizes all fastened in and heading down the road. Buddy is going to stay home and mind the fort. I have a friend who is going to come in each day to check on him. I would love to take him with us but I think he wouldn’t think it was a good idea!

I will return to Joy in Recovery on Sunday. Hope your Thanksgiving is blessed!

P.S. I have posted the puzzles ahead so if you are subscribed to them – they will pop in on schedule.  Catholic Puzzles
